Who we are

At The London Performers Agency, we seek performers with distinct potential,  to supplement their weekly training with TLPA to assist in the development of a mature, well rounded and  confident performer. We aim to provide relevant industry auditions and opportunities as a Spotlight register agency, and assist in every step along the way.
Sessions are held fortnightly on Sunday morning for 3hrs. Each Sunday hosts a variety of different classes with ballet, jazz, contemporary, commerical, and audition technique, nurturing versatile artists. TLPA find it very important for our artists to learn from a variety of industry professionals, and therefore invite guest teachers on a regular basis.

Biographies

Sophie Wright

A professional dancer who trained at the renowned Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary arts, Sophie has an extensive list of world class performance credits.

An entrepreneur in the performing arts sector, she founded The London Ballet Company (TLBC) in 2010 to create new productions that reflect themes significant to our times rather than those of the purely traditional classic repertoire. Keen to widen the reach of these shows taking “ballet out of its box” she continues to create through The London Ballet Company, and with her unique company dancers’ collaborative, a vast array of shows much loved by audiences across the U.K. TLBC has had up to 20 dancers in some years and is determined to continue to provide opportunities for talented dance artists to come from all over the world to perform in shows and at events.

The London Ballet Company has a vibrant and very successful TLBC Associates Programme for promising versatile performers. This focuses on training well-rounded performers and showcases the Associates' development through performance, and is now in its' 5th year.
In 2018, Sophie also opened The London Ballet Company School in Wimbledon where select students initiate their training and follow the Cecchetti exam syllabus to provide the firm foundation so important to a professional dance career.
The London Ballet Foundation was set up in 2016 as a charitable organisation to nurture and support the wellbeing of young artists, and to assist in the provision of performance opportunities.

As a professional dancer, Sophie performed with Illo Tempore Ballet Company travelling to Germany to rehearse and perform in Dortmund and then was selected to work with Rambert Company in their production of 'A Linha Curva'.

Shortly after this, Sophie took the initiative to form The London Ballet Company managing, directing and performing in all theatre productions of their original works which included: 'An Olympic Dream', '00 & His 7', 'Postcard from London', 'Poppy', 'Eve', 'Ghost', and 'Snow Queen' (with the exception of the most recent production Pandora's Box, when she took a break to have her baby!). Many of these were also performed at event venues for a wide variety of companies.

In between she also found time to perform in some of the most beautiful landmarks in London for internationally renowned companies; St Pancras International, for their Summer Series, Summer in the Square for Grosvenor Group London, Goodwood - Festival of Speed, LandSecurities - Cardinal Place Victoria for their Christmas spectacular and Canary Wharf Plc - “Summer in the Park”.Iconic London 5* hotels saw guest performances in The Grosvenor, The Ritz, The Langham, The Connaught, The Corinthia, The Landmark, The Dorchester, The Hilton and Mandarin Oriental Hotel to name but a few.Another very memorable experience for Sophie was touring with Basement Jaxx (TLBC's Patrons!). Initially, for their Summer Festival season in the UK including Somerset House, London, and then a Winter tour to fifteen O2 venues in bustling cities, ending at the UK's largest O2 venue in London with an audience of 20,000; So exciting! (Those tour buses with a lounge, beds, kitchen and dining area - what fun!) The next Basement Jaxx tour took Sophie to America with performances in Washington, Los Angeles and New York (including the Hollywood Bowl and in New York's Central Park).

Sophie has carried out filming work with Sadie Frost, the UEFA Champions League tv programme and BBC's 'The Big Painting Challenge' and has modelled for companies such as Harlequin, Aspinal of London and Hugo Boss. Further travel saw her perform in Istanbul for a Christmas season at Istanbul Cevahir, and in Nice and Gallipoli for luxury private events. Supporting the launch of the ever growing 'Flight Club' company in London, TLBC created magic for their grand opening, performing a bespoke piece for specially invited guests.

The diverse and exciting nature of dance opportunities is one she is keen to pass on to her students and she feels it very important to have a broad dance education to support a variety of dance styles.

Bethany Wright

Bethany began her dance training in Australia with various dance styles and teachers. She then completed her training at The Hammond in Cheshire. A professional artist and entrepreneur, she has performed all over the world at many incredible theatres, venues and events. For several years, Bethany has been contracted by top cabaret venues in Europe to be a resident performing artist and has performed for a vast array of exclusive private events globally.

Whilst performance has been her passion, she has also found time to run her own successful entertainment agency, 'Live From London', which provides artists for events globally.

Bethany began her dance career during her final year of full time training, performing in the Olympic torch relay for the 2012 London Olympics. Upon graduation, she joined The London Ballet Company as Company Artist, performing as a soloist in theatre productions, '00 and His 7', 'An Olympic Dream' and 'Eve'. Christmas seasons with The London Ballet Company, brought extravagant event performances for Land Securities - Cardinal Place, Victoria, for Westfield's Christmas Spectacular, and at the 5* Corinthia Hotel. International Women's Day saw Bethany perform for global business giant Google, at the beautiful 5* Connaught Hotel, London.

One of Bethany's most memorable experiences was performing in front of thousands with world renowned Basement Jaxx, all over the UK, for the best of UK summer festivals.

The launch of the perfume 'Iris Prima' by Penhaligon's, instigated a delightful performance in Regent St, London and at Harvey Nichols. A summer performance for Canary Wharf Plc's Children's Festival attracted the crowds and was watched by many excited little faces!

Some exciting performances included those at the T20 Cricket World Cup, and with performances for JP Morgan, AOL, Specsavers, Royal Ascot, Elle Style Awards, Beaujolais wine (Lyon), 'Only' Fashion Show at Casino Venezia (Venice), hair shows for Joico, fashion shows for London Ethnic and The Coventry Fashion Show, filming for UniBet advertising and for tv show 'Samedi Soir á Pigalle'.

An event performance of the 'cancan' in London's West End ignited in Bethany a desire to become a Parisian performer! Ahead of Bethany's move to France however, she decided to explore further cabaret performances which took her travelling to Mahé Island - Seychelles, Villa De Fiori - Gallipoli, Courcheval, San Pellegrino Casino, Milan, Saint Tropez, Le Baoli - Cannes, Monaco, Luxembourg, Ajaccio - Corsica, Omodos - Cyprus and a tour around all of France (where she fell in love with the idyllic South!).

Bethany worked with 'La Bouche Showgirls' in Frankfurt for a Christmas season after which she gained contracts in St Tropez for 3 seasons at L'Opera, V.I.P Room, La Gioia and Brasserie des Arts in addition to dancing in Monaco's famous Casino Monte-Carlo for Russian singer, Stas Mihailoff. Bethany then based herself in Paris where she was contracted to dance with world renowned cabaret 'La Nouvelle Eve' for two seasons, before her next adventure with a contract with famous Cirque D'hiver. This incorporated a tour of Rouen, Nantes, Tours, and many iconic French cities which contributed to her love of all things French. Most recently, Bethany performed with the world famous 'Moulin Rouge' in the heart of Paris before Covid-19 closed the venue until further notice with her contract being placed on hold.

Bethany brings this wealth of performance artistry to TLPA students and is keen to share some of her insights into the performance industry.
